Strigoi Vii

I've been around for a long time, when I was involved with the vampyre community, I was involved with the sanguinarium where I was brought up with the Strigoi Vii mentality.

Strigoi Vii originally was my (and others) sole representation of what the vampyric condition was. The observation of the community was simplistic and elegant. The combination of ritualistic appreciation, social interaction, psychological, and even physiological workings of the practice.

But as time continues the teachings have evolved. What they have evolved to, I personally don't care for. I miss a time when we all followed THE Black Veil, not BV version 3007 and a half. When there was one line of books called "V" rather than reprints of the same books with different titles. Before vampyres became vampyre witches, etc. etc.

I know that if I remember the old days, there have to be others. So, I'm looking for stimulating conversations related to the Strigoi Vii system.

Opinions, statements, essays, whatever. I may not agree with where the paradigm is going, but I am interested in keeping the old teachings alive. Hopefully there are others that know what I'm talking about and that this post doesn't look absolutely foolish amongst the Twilight* era. lol.

I'm Th13teen. 23 year old hellbilly living in South Carolina. I do a little bit of everything - which includes throwing frozen waffles out of my car window at strangers.

In the occult department, I used to spend a lot of time with vampyres, before going on hiatus from the Sanguinarium. Now I spend the free time studying Modern Satanism, hermetic alchemy, symbology, and chaos magic.

I love loud music, fast cars, and anyone that can blow stuff up with their mind.

Anyways, I'll be around, looking forward to good conversation and fun times.

Group Customize

Any add-on features out there floating on the net that let group admins customize the group page css like the profile system?

Right now it only lets you pick one of the OS themes, without advanced editing. Would be cool to customize the look of the group, but if it hasn't been made yet, oh well, lol.

Scrolling Recent Logged In Members Added To Site

We have added a scrolling footer bar that now shows members profile pics with there member name. It will show the last 100 logged in users and will scroll through all of them until the end then repeat the scroll from the beginning.

Arcade System Online

This is one of two late announcements as some of you have already found the new toys lol.

We have added an Arcade system to OT, currently has around 16,000 games installed and available for your gaming pleasures.

In the near future we will be adding in a system so you can play against other people in real time as well as leader boards and a point system.

Stay tuned for more info when these and other surprises come to the Arcade.

New Member Twitter Interface

We have added a new feature that we think members will like. We have now brought Twitter to Occult Space, but unlike normal twitter systems were you can only see the main sites twitter feed our new system brings your own twitter build right into OccultSpace.com.

From here you can do almost anything you can do on Twitter.com for via other twitter clients.

The Twitter interface is of course optional and not all members have to do it, by default it is deactivated for your privacy.

The system will auto-tweet the following things from OccultSpace.com to your Twitter account automatically without having to lift a finger:

Auto Tweet with linkback for OccultSpace.com submitted content for the following sections:
- Blog
- Listing (classifieds)
- Event
- Forum Topic
- Gallery/Photo Upload
- Group (when new group is created)
- Group Forum Topic
- Group Gallery
- Poll
- Quiz
- Video Stream
- Video Upload

For users to follow or unfollow other users' tweets.

Translate search keywords that starts with # symbol into links within the tweets.

Mention list (your replies).

Latest tweet under the update input box.

Reply tweets, automatically focuses to the update text input box.

Translate @screen_name into clickable twitter profile link to your site's Twitter profile page if the account exists, otherwise it will link directly to the source Twitter.com's profile page.

Shows "Verified Account" badge for accounts verified by Twitter.

Display clickable OccultSpace.com user name beside Twitter screen in the tweet list to indicate that the user is also a member of OccultSpace.com. The link will lead to there Occult Space profile page.

Twitter pages that resembles original Twitter's "Home" and "Profile".
Display "My Twitter Box" at your OccultSpace.com's profile page.

Latest new messages are automatically fetched and displayed when users visit Twitter Home, Twitter Profile or Occult Space Profile page.

When settings with Twitter screen name and password are saved, it's automatically checked via authentication, so they can not save the wrong login information.

The passwords are saved and retrieved via MySQL AES_ENCRYPT and AES_ENCRYPT function, an additional measure for saving user passwords, so they are encrypted in the database.

First off welcome to OccultSpace.com, you have found the Meet and Greet forum. For all of the new people who don't know me I'm Rowen Windsong.

The idea for this site cam about as I was tired of all of the spam on Myspace, and the privacy invasion of Facebook so I decided to start looking into alternate websites that offered similar features of those sites but none had exactly what I was looking for.

So I said "why not just create one your self?", this way I can control what features are here and try as best I can to keep the site free from spammers as best I can.

We can also keep out obtrusive ads and only offer ads that would actually be of interest to people of our community but again unobtrusively.

Unlike the other Corporate Sites mentioned above we also listen to our members. If you want a feature added and it's financial doable and can be implemented in code we will do it. In fact this is already where many of the sites features we currently have in the community have come from.

I have been involved in the Occult in one for or another since 1993, researching what I find to be interesting or mind provoking.

I am the founder of The Occult Network, for which this site is apart of. It's been a long time dream to build a network of sites, each with it's own function and purpose in the network and Occult community as a greater whole.

My faith is a rather interesting one, I follow what I guess you could call a Trinity. One part Paganism, one part Shamanism, and one part Modern Vampyrism.

The first two of the Trinity are not a mystery and are pretty common these days, but the Vampyrism at least to the public is somewhat new to the general public.

More has come out over the years since shows like Mad Mad House on the Scifi channel(now SyFi), and of course with the flood of Vampire films over the past decade has sent hundreds of thousands of people seeking information on Vampires.

Eventually in ones searched you might come across an actual Modern Vampyre site such as Darkness Embraced that deals in Modern Vampyrism.

This might be there first exposure to the "Vampyre Scene" as it is called or just "Scene" for short. Some come looking for answers, some come to start trouble, and yet others come just to see with genuine curiosity just what a "Modern Vampyre" is.

For more info as it's not a very easy thing to explain or get into I suggest you check the site mentioned above as a good starting point for info.

You can also check out our forums under the "Vampyre" section for info on this and many other fascinating topics.

Any who as for me I enjoy normal things like gardening, camping, scuba diving, 4x4 off roading, anything in the snow, etc. I'm just your average guy.

I am also a bit of a philosopher, I enjoy researching many topics from anything that resides in the Occult, Forbidden Archeology, Technology, Science, History, Paranormal, Space Exploration, Psi & Psy Abilities, etc.

Chat Room Logo FIXED

The chat room logo is currently displaying the test logo in the chatroom (top left), we are working on getting the correct logo into the chat room.

Chat Room Photo Upload Glitch

Currently there is a known problem with the chat room photo upload. When attempting to upload a photo via the chatroom plugin, the popup window's background is black preventing people from reading the upload options and controls.

We are aware of the problem and are looking into fixing it, please bare with us.

There is a known problem currently with uploading pics and avatars. We are working on the problem and will post an update with the problem is resolved.
